I wrote this  Opinion piece for the BDJ to raise some important unintended consequences of introducing NHS primary care dental  services for more complex treatments like endodontics, oral surgery and periodontology. Whilst the idea is excellent in principle a sit provides high quality care for NHS patients it also has other implications for the delivery of care from GDPs.
